Klang Valley? I am sure there are stalls hidden within the nooks and crannies selling this delicious and cheap snack.
Though I am not sure where to get a GOOD one.

I miss having apom/ah pong. We used to have a vendor selling ‘em at our pasar malam in TTDI but he no longer is around. The last time I had it was in Pudu!!! Can anyone please tell me if I can get this in the Klang Valley?

I know ckchoo. Haha … just don’t want to point it out blatantly ma. But anyway, your comments have always been critical, constructive and not baseless. Plus your feedback always holds water, not mere comments or likes.
Should have gone for the additional salted fish.
Never tried the one near Public Bank though, but if the rice is soggy/wet, I doubt I will enjoy it.

MM, that’s me. Yes, he is a grumpy old uncle if you know him well he will speak to you it took me more than a year to talk to him even almost every week I am there. There is no menu, for those going there should tell the uncle to add an egg or both salted fish. The aroma will be different. I did ask him before how long he’s been there – “33 years”.
His wife soup I like most not too salty even she added a salted egg onto the purple colored stem veggie.(forgot the name).
During the day after 1:30pm – 2pm near the tau foo far stall a old husband/wife sell yummy siew yok, siew ribs very fast runs out.
Another one located at Sam sam rest. at the main road Jln pasir puteh same row with Public bank and former Maybank. Even give a complimentary plate of “yau choy” for every pot ordered. – I found it too wet.

Yes, not as salty and the rice was good. Though he could have added more chicken for the three of us. And he might have missed adding salted fish into the pot of rice.
Nonetheless, in Ipoh, this could be the best.

The claypot rice is not bad cause it is not too salty unlike others. Be prepared to wait cause it is one man show after all..Also I order the soup to go along..

All I remember was the ‘al dente’ cooked rice grains and salted fish from this stall…dad got lost on second attempt, this was moons ago…sense of nostalgia and a little blue looking over the scenes of the claypot rice shop on this post.
