I live in New York and was home for summer holiday. we went there for dinner and find that the dishes are specially prepared and taste good. My daughter who is born in the USA, love the food and it is made to her taste because she is not the Hot and SPICY lady. Thanks to the chef who takes our request.
I recommend this place cos its warm and friendly.

I don't think this is an authentic nyonya restaurant. chicken pongteh is one of many nyonya's signature dish. the pongteh in your pic looks more like chicken cooked in light soy sauce.

Yeah, a bit too spicy. Both grandma's were having a tough time finishing their portions.
That being said, I wish that they had done something to their seats. As the older generations might stay away because of discomfort.

I had lunch there to day. I think the business there is a 3 in 1. One the Nyonya Kitchen, the other one is wood craft furniture and yet another one selling drinks only.
You are right though, the seats are a no no for old men and ladies to sit on for long.
They had 2 mobile type air-conditioners (?) turned on and some intermittent fans here and there.
Food came rather quickly though. Maybe there's only two of us waiting for food when we stepped in but when we left all the tables were occupied.
The food? Its OK I think. Didn't order much just the Assam Fish Head and the egg rolls.
I like the fish head though but my companion said its too spicy for her. So I ended up scrapping the bottom.
Parking was no problem as it was a Sunday Afternoon.

I went there for dinner last weekend using Groupon. These are my comments:-
i. Place - very dark and hot. Air-cond not cold enough.
ii. Taste of food is good - very nyonya but unfortunately their ingredients are not fresh ; chicken got smell, probably bought from Tesco. The prawns the used for a vege dish is not fresh at all. can smell bad.

If they improve their lighting n air-conditioning, and use only fresh meat and not frozen ones, I believe they can last long, if not.......
