You MUST try their Oxford sausages at Nambawan on your next visit. Those sausages are divine! They are made on many trial and errors by the owners of Nambawan to get the taste right. The sausages are packed by their supplier somewhere in Sg. Buloh. The meat is chopped…not minced…henced retaining a bite and is made from several parts of the pig to get the right feel. Get the chef to grill your sausages a lil longer so that when you cut the crisp skin, the juices from the cheese and meat squirts out and as you chew, the juices flow out of the meat….yummy!

I ate at that joint when it was still “Wendy’s Bistro”, haha! Not sure if they have retained the same chef?! Have not tried Nambawan yet but that’s really good value for money!

Hahaha, thanks for your interesting comment, pang. Sounds so much like an advocate for anything porkilicious. Not too worry, be it Bak Kut Teh, Char Siew, Gu Lou Yuk to Pork Chops, Pork Burgers and RIbs, I’m a sucker for all this meatier stuff.

OMG.. Porky goodness! Bellygood not as flavourful as d previous owner, Wendy’s bistro n slightly more xpensive too. Nambawan is truly a value 4 money western food joint n it is good! Tried their pork burger, grilled belly pork, roast pork belly (on weekend only), lamb shank, grilled chicken n fish n chips, all i can say is “reasonably good” lol! U can’t compare wif Mid-West, El meson, Kissaten, RIBS@Oasis n many more n counting (newly opened) they r “upper class western joint.” Every joint has its own culinary forte speciality or so-called chef recommendation, whereby Nambawan is a just a “humble neighbourhood taman2 western joint.” Don’t let curiosity takes u down! Go out n “explore urself” 2 a world of porkilicious goodness!

KL has so many porky restaurants compare to Penang, yet most of the porky restaurant like Mr.Ho, Euro Deli and a few more in Penang had closed down. Anyway, the price is far more cheaper than Elcerdo near Radius Hotel. Hope to read more review of hogs restaurant in future.
