To me, I’d take Satay Malaysia from Nyok Lan in Kajang any day.

I still prefer Hj Samuri satay compared to Satay Zul. The Satay Zul peanut sauce was so salty that we were wondering whether they use sea water to cook the peanut sauce during my one and only visit to Kuantan last July.

Yeah, I still remember last time when we used to have them at the Kesas rest stop, the satay and peanut sauce were impeccable. Almost worth the trip there alone.

Yeah …gosh, one of them was particularly arrogant. We were already saying okay, never mind we can have the fish and chips instead of the grilled fish we ordered. She was standing a few tables away and exclaimed that sentence on how their grilled fish is the SAME as their fish and chips.

We must have looked like children to her.

The bitter gourd looks fresh and tempting. I have wondered about where the good spots to eat in Kuantan are. Heard about the satay guy but not much else yet.

You are right about the Hj Samuri’s Satay. It’s not up to the standard as compared to last time.
