Hi again,
I know it's a long shot but any chance there is an O and S like restaurant with similar quality near the city central. I have a short stop over in Kul and want to eat as much as I can before I leave. CKT, BKT, nasi lemak, curry laksa, popiah rolls..I want to try it all..in a 6 hour layover (my stomach will be hating me after I get on the plane). I basically want to know where the greatest concentration of good food is and I have a feeling it's not Jalan Alor :)

Dear J2Kfm,

I am also from Ipoh and very proud to be telling my friends and colleagues that I hail from Ipoh.

Anyway, this long weekend, my colleagues are planning a makan trip to Ipoh and we plan to start the journey from KL at 7am on Saturday and hopefully be able to reach Ipoh at 9.30am in time for a round of breakfast at House of Mirrors.

However, we are afraid that some of us might not be able to withstand hunger until then. Do you have any recommendation of good food along the North South highway that we could stopover for a quick bite? I am completely clueless regarding this because I normally don't detour when I'm travelling back home. Thanks.

Hi are there any legit food tour guides in Penang? I don't speak Chinese, though ethnically I am, or any other language other than english and don't know the dishes and what to order, but I also am a huge foodie and don't want a tour geared towards the western palette.
Thank you,
Melissa
