Hey… try Restoran Cordon Bleu on Jalan Kuala Kangsar. It is at the row of shop houses across the road from Kok Thai. The chefs are two old gentlemen known for their moodiness but be polite and they will warm up to you and engage in conversation. Food is pretty good.
