Blissfully Bali 2009 – 7 Days of Sun, Sea, Temples, and Food
October 14, 2009 | 4,066 viewsI’m back. Not stronger than ever, nor better than ever. Far from it, even.
But darn sure darker by a few shades, feeling most lethargic and still reeling from the unwise decision of booking an extra early flight, forcing us to wake up at an unGodly hour.
It’s been 7 years since that incident. A most heart-wrenching, chilling and tragic phenomenon condemned by every single human on earth. And to be in Kuta town of Bali sometime around the anniversary of that incident had us doubting our decisions to book our flight a year ago (yup, THAT long …. for some free tickets).
But we still persevered, soldiered on amidst the quakes, the ever-looming threat of being bombed to smithereens, and the now-overlooked flu threat.
And I came back in one piece. Albeit a much, much darker piece. 😉
Stay tuned for the many (many, many, many) chapters in the near future ……… zzzz……..

not really. the huge unrest is over at Jakarta, and the quakes are much nearer to our peninsular than Bali anyway.
though Bali does has her history of calamities in the past.
but we came back unscathed. so there ….

this one so happened Air Asia was doing the free tics promo last year,

yeah the bombings. a little unnerving, but it was the last thing on our minds when we were there.
not all expensive resorts, depending on your preference.
we chose backpacker style budget hotels, or as budget as Bali can get.
