Postcards from My Saigon Story …

A Touch of Saigon

Celebrity-spotting!!

A continuum of Saigon chapters; I was still struggling to finish off the Mekong Delta and city tour stories from our August 2012 trip, and here I was again back in the land of cyclos, maddening traffic and great coffee.

Why “Postcards” of all subject? Let this be a pictorial teaser (it’s been all but teasers lately eh?) to the week that beckons, while counting down the days to reach May 5th – the Judgment Day?

Short of waging war against Monday blues, I’ll keep my composure and share some interesting shots of the recent Saigon adventure. Here goes …

Streets of Saigon

They must have reaaaallllly strong legs. Squatting left, right and centre.

Breakfast in Saigon

And once again, exerting pressure and challenge to their postures …. I’d rather sit on the floor actually. Good street food is not hard to come by in Saigon. The real challenge is; are you game?

Shaking His Hips

Like a Boss. “Don’t …. touch my Banh Mi”

Iconic Saigon Post Office

Word of advice; don’t come too early. The gates don’t open until way past 7.30am …

Broken Rice

For a shattering good time and some Saigon beer, can’t go wrong with Com Nieu Sai Gon …

Cyclos

If you ain’t sure on why the chicken crossed to the other side … by all means, please keep trying here.

And that’s a wrap at 200 words flat. A record for inefficiency, maybe.

Motormouth’s on the road again, for the next 9 days to Taiwan. The time is nigh for some really good street food …

Drop me a comment or send me an e-mail if you feel like talking. Anytime. Provided that I can get good Internet access in Taipei. Or still manage to think straight after the deluge of food. 😉
